Dr. McGuire is our founding doctor. He has been practicing in the North Denver area for 30 years. Dr. McGuire is exceptionally skilled in fitting gas permeable contact lenses, especially with hard to fit cases.

Brian E. Nichols, M.D. PhD

Brian Nichols is a board certified ophthalmologist who specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of cataracts, glaucoma, retinal diseases, eyelid problems and strabismus (eye misalignment). Dr. Nichols utilizes the latest technology and techniques for modern cataract extraction. A micro-incision, no-stitch approach is used to minimize the risks of complications and allows the fastest possible visual recovery following surgery. Other specialized techniques, such as the use of toric intraocular lens to reduce astigmatism, are unique to the area.

Dr. Nichols performs both incisional and laser surgeries for the management of glaucoma. He utilizes the latest technology for surgical management of glaucoma, and is one of the only doctors in the area performing a non-penetrating surgery for glaucoma which does not enter the eye, minimizing the risk for complications and speeding visual recovery following recovery.

Dr. Nichols also performs blepharoplasty surgical procedures for the treatment of dermatochalasis (extra skin on the upper eyelids) in addition to eyelid lifting surgery (levator advancement) for the treatment of ptosis (droopy eyelids).

Dr. Nichols also performs laser surgeries to treat diabetes and laser demarcation for retinal detachments.
